1. Overview

KeyBlock is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes our practices when you visit our website, contact us, or use the KeyBlock hardware and mobile application that help you temporarily limit distracting apps (“Services”). Depending on context, “you” may be a website visitor or a user of our Services.

Personal Information means information that identifies or could identify you (for example, name, email, or phone number). It does not include publicly available or aggregated data that cannot identify you.

2. About us

KeyBlock offers tools designed to help you manage attention and screen time. We may serve customers in many countries. Wherever you are located, we aim to handle personal information consistent with applicable law and this policy.

3. Information we collect

Core privacy promise: We do not collect or transmit which specific apps you choose to block. That information stays on your device and is handled through platform frameworks (such as Apple Screen Time) where applicable.

A. Information you provide

Visitors: For example when you contact us, subscribe to updates, or register for events, we may collect:

  • Identifiers (name, email, phone)
  • Commercial information (products purchased or considered)
  • Professional information when relevant
  • Anything you enter in free-text fields or send in support messages

Users: Through the app and Services we may collect:

  • Account information (name, email, credentials)
  • Device and usage data (for example aggregate time in focus modes, number of custom modes, session logs) as described in the app
  • Support communications
  • Feedback you choose to share
  • Payment information processed by third-party payment providers

B. Information collected automatically

Website: Like most sites, we may log technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps.

Services: We may collect diagnostic, usage, and performance data, device information, and general location that cannot pinpoint you within a small area.

C. Information from third parties

We may receive data from analytics, advertising, or attribution partners when you use our website, subject to their policies and your settings. We use such data to measure performance, improve our marketing, and understand traffic—not to see your on-device block lists.

4. Analytics, cookies & tracking

We and our partners may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure campaigns, and improve experience. Third-party content or ads on our site may use their own tracking; we do not control those technologies.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some markets require cookie choices; where required, we provide appropriate controls or opt-outs.

Do Not Track: There is no consistent industry standard for DNT signals; we do not respond to all DNT browser signals today but may revisit as standards evolve.

5. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our website and Services
  • Process purchases and send transactional messages
  • Provide customer support
  • Send marketing where permitted (you may opt out as described below)
  • Analyze usage, troubleshoot, and develop new features
  • Protect security, prevent fraud, and comply with law
  • Other purposes we disclose to you or for which we obtain consent

6. Sharing & disclosure

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers who assist with payments, shipping, hosting, email, analytics, and customer communications, under contracts that require appropriate protection
  • Authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • Successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice as required
  • Advertising partners as described in our cookie and analytics practices

We may transfer data to the United States or other countries where we or our vendors operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses).

7. Third-party websites

Our Services may link to other sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Please read them before providing information.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion where applicable law allows.

9. Your choices

  • Update information: Contact us at support@keyblock.app.
  • Delete your account: Email us to request permanent deletion of your account and associated data, where applicable.
  • Marketing: Use unsubscribe links in emails or contact us to opt out of promotional messages.
  • Cookies & ads: Adjust browser settings and industry opt-out tools (for example, NAI or DAA where available in your region).
  • Global Privacy Control: Where supported, GPC may be honored as an opt-out signal for sale/sharing as defined under applicable law.

10. De-identified / aggregated data

We may aggregate or de-identify data so it no longer identifies you. We may use or share such data for any lawful purpose.

11. Social media & plug-ins

Social buttons or embedded content may allow platforms to collect data about your visit. Their use is governed by their policies. If you interact with us on social media, we may respond using that channel.

12. Children’s privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without required parental consent. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us so we can delete it. If you are under 18, you should have parental or guardian permission where required by law.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Never share your account credentials. Report suspicious activity to support@keyblock.app.

14. Regional privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing or direct marketing. Laws vary by country and state (including, for example, California, Texas, Nebraska, Canada, the EU/UK, Brazil, and Australia).

To exercise rights, contact support@keyblock.app. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may designate an authorized agent where applicable law allows. If you are in the EU/UK and we cannot resolve a concern, you may contact your local supervisory authority.

California “Shine the Light”: We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing without your request. For questions, use the contact below.

15. Contact

We may take reasonable steps to verify requests to protect your account and data.

16. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example by email or in-app). Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
